The Wales TUC has a number of equality committees which exist to represent the interests of members across a number of equality strands.

The Wales TUC Women’s Committee and the Wales TUC Race Committee and LGBT Committee meet on a quarterly basis and each committee has their own annual conference with guest speakers and motions debates to set policy for the year ahead. There is also a pan equality committee, disability forum and youth forum.

The chairs and vice chairs of the equality committees are also members of the Wales TUC General Council, which allows the work of the equality committees to feed into the rest of the organisation. Committee members are nominated by their unions and elected at Wales TUC Annual Conference, with the exception of the pan-equality committee.
