
The Equal at Work project was a 2 year project, funded by BERR (formerly DTI), and run by the Wales TUC from June 2006 to July 2008. It worked in partnership with the equality commissions and other equality bodies in Wales. The good practice developed from the project has been mainstreamed into the work of the Wales TUC and Equal at Work will continue to remain high profile.
The project has covered all 6 equality strands of race, gender, disability, age, sexual orientation and religious belief. The Wales TUC takes on a broader remit to cover all aspects of equality, including migrant workers, child poverty and other social issues.
Equal at Work was set up to support trade unions in Wales with promoting equality and tackling discrimination. This website has been developed to act as a one stop shop full of resources, information, campaigns and training materials, tailored to meet your needs.
We aim to support unions, employers and employees to understand what rights and duties that people have in the workplace.
